Cultivating Impact with Grace

MIssion

Naomi Chapter #421 is committed to fostering a well-organized, transparent, and inclusive fraternal community guided by the principles set forth in the United National Supreme Council Constitution and our chapter's governing bylaws. We strive to uphold order, accountability, and active participation among our members while honoring the traditions of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Our Vision

To build a chapter rooted in order, respect, and unity, where every member—regardless of age, location, or ability to participate—feels valued, informed, and connected to the mission of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Leadership & Governance

Naomi Chapter #421 upholds the structure of elected and appointed officers as defined in Article IX of the United National Supreme Council Constitution. Appointed officers serve faithfully for terms not exceeding one year, ensuring consistent and accountable leadership. The Worthy Matron, Secretary, and Treasurer are empowered to fulfill their prescribed duties with integrity, providing a strong foundation for the chapter's governance.

Meetings & Communication

The chapter conducts regular meetings on the third Saturday of each month, ensuring consistency and predictability for all members. To accommodate members who live more than 100 miles away, Zoom accessibility is provided so that distance does not prevent participation. Open communication is maintained through a requirement that members give timely notice of absences to the Secretary. When necessary, Special Call Meetings may be held, provided that proper 24-hour notice is given along with a clearly stated purpose.

Safety & Integrity

Naomi Chapter #421 guarantees that all meetings occur in safe, secure, and appropriate locations, safeguarding the wellbeing of its members. Meetings may be recorded solely for the purpose of accurate minute-keeping, reinforcing transparency and trust within the organization.

Fundraising & Member Responsibility

Members are encouraged to actively participate in fundraising efforts, including ticket sales, merchandise, and social media promotion. For those unable to participate directly, a $25 donation alternative per activity is offered. This approach ensures fairness and shared responsibility in supporting the chapter's initiatives, allowing every member to contribute meaningfully in a way that suits their circumstances.

Membership & Inclusion

Naomi Chapter #421 welcomes members eighteen years of age and older through a formal application process that includes both written and electronic submissions. Applications are processed in accordance with United National Constitution guidelines, ensuring consistency across the organization. The chapter also honors its senior members through an Honorary Membership program. To qualify, a member must be sixty-five years of age or older and must have maintained good standing for five consecutive years. Members who meet these criteria are eligible for fifty percent reduced dues, though this reduction does not apply to assessments or higher degree dues.
